Maekon 180 SF Illex Floating Lure
The MAEKON 180 SF is a two-part articulated 'jointed swimbait', equipped with the unique articulation system, the 'Mono Flex Joint System'.
This clever and innovative system greatly improves the swimming action, allowing more freedom to the body since the rear part with its tail provides a delayed rolling action and extra attraction during attack phases.
Several types of retrieves are possible for the MAEKON 180 SF: stop & go (near structures) or in more or less slow continuous linear fishing to efficiently cover weed beds or parallel to the bank.
On a straight retrieve its movement produces a powerful 'wobbling' action similar to the feel of a large crankbait.
Its fish-type tail increases its realism and brings it to life during pause phases. Its medium size is versatile for a swimbait and allows the use of a spinning or baitcasting 'Medium Heavy' rod.
Due to its strong 'Rolling' and its ability to move a large volume of water on continuous straight retrieves, European anglers targeting pike and specimen black bass will quickly adopt this lure for all prospecting fishing regardless of the size of the environment.
We recommend adding a 'John Weight' sinker to modify its density, to make it either 'Suspending', slow sinking or faster sinking, making the MAEKON 180 SF more versatile.
