Mylarminnow 9cm O.S.P soft lure
The Mylarminnow is a small finesse shad that looks just like a fry. It was developed by Toshinari Namiki, notably to address winter fishing situations when fry gather together, thus offering predators an important food source in anticipation of the difficult months at the heart of winter.
The Mylarminnow is characterized by its finesse and by the shiny fabric plate housed inside its body, emitting ultra-attractive flashes to predators. All this is complemented by beautiful colors and very realistic eyes, giving you an almost perfect fry imitation.
The Mylarminnow supports many techniques and many types of animation. Personally, I have mainly used it for drop shot and on small jigheads.
For drop shot, it is effective in all seasons and especially when the banks are swarming with fry in the warm season or when, in winter, small baitfish are grouped together and predators are not far away. Being able to wiggle this little wriggling fish right under their noses is often crowned with success.
On a small jighead, the Mylarminnow twirls perfectly... worked on the bottom with small hops to provoke zander or twitched in perch hunts, it is simply formidable!
Drop shot rig, texas rig, wacky rig, jighead rig... it can do it all and above all it knows how to catch the attention of predatory fish. For several years, the Mylarminnow has been an essential soft bait in my boxes... And a little bonus, despite its finesse and flexibility, it is a relatively sturdy lure. One fish is not enough to tear it, far from it. And even when it inevitably ends up getting damaged, you just have to turn it over to extend its lifespan.
