The NIGHT SHADOWS S 2402 M Z OBSESSION is a unique rod that meets a very specific set of requirements. We developed it specifically for the most demanding anglers of zander and large perch with finesse. Its thin blank combined with FUJI K-R guides gives it unmatched lightness and sensitivity, without making any compromise on power. Its pronounced action allows for precise lure movements while providing optimal feedback on the lure's swim, the nature of the substrate, and even the most subtle bites. Its length of 2.40m is ideal for finesse fishing from the shore or by boat, allowing for long-distance casting while optimizing line control, hooksets, and fish handling.
Originally designed for use with soft lures in a linear retrieve, during testing it also proved formidable for drop-shot and light Carolina rigs. Soft lures in linear retrieve: Magic Slim Shad 3, 4, and 5; Magic Finess Shad 4 and 5 or Magic Z Shad 80 and 105 rigged with a jig head from 2.5g up to 10g, Nitro 65 or 90 rigged on a Nitro Shad Head from 3.5g up to 10g. Soft lures in drop-shot (recommended lead weights 5 to 14g): Scissor Comb 3 and 3.8, Magic Finess Shad, Magic May Fly 2.6. Soft lures in light Carolina rig (recommended bullet weights 3.5 to 14g): Scissor Comb 3 and 3.8, Magic Z Shad 80. Lovers of summer and autumn fishing with crankbaits will greatly enjoy working around bait balls: the entire Chubby series, Squirrel 61 and DD Squirrel 67, SpinVido 70, Battle Minnow 80, and other Stream Ripper 60 and 75. For those targeting late-season perch gatherings with the DeraCoup from 7 to 14g, this rod will be your best ally.
This rod is equipped with the latest generation of FUJI components. FUJI Alconite 'K-R' guides to eliminate any risk of your line tangling in the guides during casts, whatever the conditions; the VSS reel seat ensures comfort during lure action and a good grip during fights!
