Drag Spin 130 Gunki Sinking Lure
The DRAG SPIN is a slow sinking pencil bait equipped with a blade and capable of fishing in very shallow water.
It is perfect for targeting fish hiding in the weeds of hyper shallow areas (pond tails, dense vegetation, etc.). It sinks slowly, flat, which gives you time after it hits the water to retrieve it without it quickly diving headfirst into the weeds.
It is used with a steady retrieve and swims at all speeds. Of course, you can break up your retrieve with pauses to trigger a strike.
Make sure to hold the rod firmly during these pauses! It has two towing rings. The one at the mouth allows it to move and stay in very shallow water and/or at very low speed; or on the contrary, to make ultra-fast retrieves.
The front ring allows the lure to stay longer in the water layer where you want it to swim. This position is ideal for slow fishing in open water, deeper, where you can make it swim at the desired depth by placing a clip weight (Gunki Clip Weight) on the belly (at the first treble hook).
But the biggest advantage of this two-ring design is being able to change the “shallow” mode of this lure into a model suitable for deep explorations (fish on drop-offs, near the bottom, etc.). All you have to do is place a clip weight on the mouth ring and attach it to your line via the front ring.
It will then tip over sharply during the release phases and turn into a perfect reaction lure for fishing with pulls just as you would with your blade shads.
The only difference is that you can adjust the sinking speed of your lure (depending on the weight of the clipped sinker) and it will be much more resistant to the multiple catches you make with it! A truly versatile lure. Adaptable to the positioning of pike according to the seasons and spots.
Weight 32.5g
